This was Parker's first Easter Egg hunt and he was so excited. As soon as he saw the first egg he was running around trying to find the rest. Every time he found one egg he had to open it to see what was inside. He is so much fun and full of so much energy.

5 Years and Counting!

Last week Kiley and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary in Moab, until we got rained out and spent the rest of it in good old Salt Lake City. We had a great time just being together and relaxing (Thanks Marisa for watching Parker!) I just want to get all mushy and say that I am so grateful for Kiley and the wonderful husband that he is. I am so lucky to be married to the funniest, most handsome, caring and awesome man in the whole world! Thanks for loving me sweetheart! I am excited to spend the rest of eternity with you!

One night we hung out at the hotel and played Friends Trivia. I of course won!

We ate a delicious Mexican restaurant the night of our anniversary.

While out shopping in Moab we found these beaded belts. Who knew they were fashionable again? The sign says "Very Stylish!"

We came home early from our Moab trip and ate at Rodizio's. Here Kiley is eating Chicken Heart, which is disgusting!

We then went to Nicklemania and had so much fun playing arcade games and winning tickets!

A Wild October

Our October was full of lots of adventure! Conference weekend was spent with family, shoving our faces with delicious food! In the middle of October Parker and I (with Grandma & Grandpa Talley) went to Denver to visit Justus, Kyrsten, Izzy and Max. Then there were the visits to the Instacare and Primary Children's (twice) for a case of the adeno flu that Parker had. His temperature got all the way up to 105! He's a tough little snot though, they said it would last up to 14 days and it was gone in 7. Kiley and I's birthdays were a few days apart and then there was Halloween!

Gabrie and Parker really played for the first time together over Conference weekend. Parker just followed her around and Gabrie loved every second. They played with puzzles, played on the swingset and took a bath together. Gabrie is such a good big cousin and is going to be a fabulous big sister!

Parker flew on his first plane to Denver. He did really well on the way there. He just kept tickling the guy next to me, luckily he didn't mind and played along back with Parker.

We gave Izzy these new pajamas for her birthday. She posed while I took a picture of her. No, she isn't picking a wedgie, it just looks like it!

We went to the Denver aquarium and it was awesome! Parker LOVED it! He ran from tank to tank just so excited. Everywhere he went he would just point with wide eyes and say, "Ooh! Ooh!"

It was Max's first birthday while we were there, but the poor little guy was getting a tooth and was not happy!

Parker got his first haircut from a real stylist! Aunt Kyrsten did a great job, although Parker wasn't too thrilled.

We went to Bear Lake with Kiley's family for a weekend and had a blast. It was a weekend of playing Muckers, eating excellent food and getting lots of rest! It is so beautiful there, the lake is such a pretty turquoise color.

A Weekend Get Away With The Family

This last weekend my side of the family (excluding the Denver Talley's and the California Talley's, who were missed) went to Park City. We had so much fun! On Friday night we were going to go camping, but as luck would have it, it was stormy in the mountains. Instead of letting the stormy weather get us down we decided that the next best thing would be to camp at Grandma & Grandpa's! To me it was 10 times better then camping in the wilderness. We got to go inside a bathroom that uses a flushable toilet and if the food got cold we just stuck it in the microwave!

On Saturday we headed up to Park City and spent the day doing the Alpine Slide, Roller Coaster and eating Mexican Food! My mom and dad were so great to watch the little ones so that we could go and play! Thanks you guys are the best! We spent our nights playing games, laughing and shoving our faces with lots of sugar.

So a big thank you to mom and dad for making this possible. We enjoyed every second and can't wait to do it again! We love you!

Birthdays, Family and Fun!

July was packed full of lots of different things. We celebrated Independence Day, our nation's birthday, Parker's 1st birthday and the 24th of July, our State's birthday. We spent lots of time with our families and our friends and enjoyed every minute.

I threw a bridal shower for my good friend Candace. She is having a little boy and I am so excited for Parker to meet his new friend.

Kiley and I had to go in and give Parker some medicine that we had forgotten about. He looked so cute that we had to take a picture before waking him up.

Parker had so much fun on the 4th of July. He loved the fireworks and didn't get at all scared. He just looked at them with wide eyes and fascination. It was so much fun to celebrate his 1st 4th of July and to watch him as he experiences something new.

We threw Parker a 1st birthday party on the 18th. It was so much fun and we were so grateful to our friends and family for their love and support. Here Parker is opening up his first present. He was so excited, even though he wasn't really sure about what was going on.

Parker loves the water, usually. His birthday party was an exception. Anytime I put him in the water he would start to cry. I guess he took the words "It's my party and I can cry if I want to" to heart.

After singing "Happy Birthday" to Parker his cousins helped him blow out the candles.

Needless to say that Parker really enjoyed his first cake experience.

May & June Update (Finally!)

Well, for those of you who were wondering or concerned, yes we are still alive. This past 2 months have just been incredibly busy. I had 2 grandparents die within a few weeks of each other and then a procedure done that kept me down for a few days. I figured it was about time for an update, which took me 3 different blog posts and about 30 pictures, which are out of order, So enjoy!

Max and Parker like to play together, who do you think is older? If you guess Parker you would be right, but only by 2 1/2 months!

Parker tried ribs for his first time and loved to chew on the bone.

Kyrsten and I took Max, Izzy and Parker swimming and they all had a blast!

Kiley and I took Parker to the Aquarium and he loved to look at all the fish, he even tried to give them kisses.

My friend Emily and her daughter Ciri came to visit from Florida. I have never seen a baby with so much hair! It was so good to see her, I miss you Emily!

One Sunday afternoon we took Parker to the park by our house, it was his first time at the park and he laughed and loved to play. Kiley and I had a lot of fun too.

On May 30th my Grandma Joan died. It was a long time coming, but was and is still really hard. I am so grateful now that she is no longer in pain and with her husband and others that she loves. This is a picture of me and my cousins Ian and Andrea.

On May 2nd my Grandpa Corbin died from a heartattack. It was completely unexpected and took us by surprise. He is now with my Grandma up in heaven and I'm sure extremely happy. This was us at the grave site after the incredible service.

In May we had a little get together with some friends from high school, it was a blast! We really need to do it more often!

Our nephew Alex turned 8 and was baptized, way to go Alex! This was at his house after the big event.

We played Rock band and Kiley was an instant Rockstar on the vocals!

Litte Gabriella Grace turned 2 and had a little family party to celebrate. She was being so cute and running around saying that she was 2 minutes old!

We went over to Sarah's house and played a dangerous game of ultimate spoons! Here Colleen and Sarah are fighting over the last spoon, it can get a little crazy, a few of us even had cuts and bruises to prove it!

12 pounds & Counting

As many of you know, our little boy is in fact, quite little. All of his cousins that are younger then him have by far passed him up on the scales. We went for a weigh in a few weeks ago and he weighed... drum roll please... 12 pounds 2 ounces! We were so happy. He still isn't even on the charts yet (except for his perfectly shaped head at 50%), but at least he is getting some meat on him!

I went and took him to get his 8 month pictures done (since I sort of passed up his 6 month pictures) at JcPenney and I thought they turned out so cute! Don't you just want to squeeze his cheeks?

Also, I can't not write about how wonderful Conference was. I don't know how many of you know that I have mono, but that kind of kept me down and out (meaning I mostly slept through it), but the talks that I did hear were awesome! I really felt the Spirit, which was much needed. Some of my favorites were Elder Hollands, I just love that man!, and Elder Scotts. Elder Scott made me realize that bad things happen, but the way we handle those bad things are what shapes us. Heavenly Father blesses us with tribulation so that we can grow.

So much has happened since the last time I was able to post some pictures, so of course, this will be a loaded blog.

Our first Christmas as a family with Parker

Candi Lou & Bradley B surprised us with the best news, a bun in the oven! Someone for Parker to play with.

Kiley, Parker, my Parents and I went to Arizona to see my Grandma. It was so good to see her, I hate having her live so far away. The first picture is a 4 way generation picture.

All of Parker's hair started to fall out so instead of letting him look goofy and like a patchy head we shaved it all off, but we did let him have a mullet for half a minute.

We hung out with Sarah & Jed and Ellie & Parker hit it off immediately, it was love at first sight. They had so much fun, and of course we did too, we love seeing them, we always end up laughing so much!

For being the worst updater in the world!

This post will be boring with no pictures so I hope you can all endure through. You see Kiley and I are living with my parents (have been for a 2 weeks now) and I don't know where my dang cord is to plug in the camera to download pictures. We are living here because our lease for our apartment ran out and we just closed on our first home! We needed a place to stay before the closing actually took place and my parents have been kind enough to let us stay here, so THANK YOU!! We are so excited to move into our new home, but before that happens we are going in to clean, clean, clean and paint, paint, paint. Buying a home was so much fun but extremely stressful. We were supposed to close on the house at the beginning of December, and we finally did last week.

Parker is growing and growing, but still small. He is 5 1/2 months old now but still only weighs about 11 1/2 pounds and is still wearing 0-3 month clothes. But I can't complain because he is healthy, and plus being so small is good on the mother's heart, then it doesn't feel like they are growing up quite as fast.

Kiley, my dear husband, has started a new blog. For those of you who haven't checked it out, it is hilarious! One of the things I love most about Kiley is his sense of humor, and it really comes through in his blog. I hope you are all well and having a good new year. I love the New Year, it is a great time for starting over. I have written down lots of New Years resolutions and I hope that this is the year that I accomplish at least one.

Always Playing Catch Up

I guess my goal of weekly updating has flown out the window. Here is the update of what's been going on.

I know it's already almost Christmas, but since I never said anything about Thanksgiving I just want to throw in that we all had a great time. Parker's 1st Thanksgiving was a lot of fun, even though he had no clue what was going on.

We had a great visit with Justus, Kyrsten, Izzy & Baby Max, it was so fabulous to see them and finally get to meet Max (but once again, sorry about the car. Hyundai hasn't returned any of our phone calls, but don't worry, we won't give up that easily).

Jace & Rebecca had their little baby boy, Ryan Jack, and he is so incredibly cute and actually smaller then Parker... it's about time!

Spencer & Mayra had their little monkey and we can't wait to see him. Hopefully we will see pictures soon. We miss them so much.

That seems like a quick summary of what has been going in our little world.

Well, for those of you who know me well you know that I love music. Music is one of my huge passions, even though I myself am not musically talented. Also, if you know me well you should know that my favorite musician of all time is Chris Carrabba from Dashboard Confessional. Candace, my greatest most fabulous friend, is my Dashboard Confessional Concert Buddy and we have been to all of his concerts together since 2003. She won tickets to the Rock Band Live Concert featuring The Cab, Plain White T's, Panic at the Disco and Dashboard Confessional and decided to take me for my birthday. The best part is that she also won meet and greet passes, so we got to meet all the bands! It was so great to meet them all, especially Chris Carrabba. I think I froze when I met him and blubbered on about who knows what. I am so grateful to Candace for the birthday present and for giving me the opportunity to meet someone that I really admire and have wanted to meet for a really long time. It was fabulous! The concert was also incredible, all of the bands did an amazing job and it was just a fantastic night.

Parker Was blessed on September 28th. It was such an incredible day and almost all of the people we love most in the world were there to share it with us (we missed you everyone else!) My daddy became a super rockstar and developed some mad drumming skills, he is so cool!

I finally got to meet my Uncle Justus (who shares my birthday), Aunt Kyrsten, cousin Izzy, and baby Max (who is still in Aunt Kyrsten's tummy). They live far away, so we don't get to see them too often.

6 Weeks Part II

6 Weeks Part I

I was 6 weeks old last Wednesday (The 3rd) and so much has happened. Mommy and Daddy have been slackers and haven't posted anything since I was born, so now it is going to take a lot of pictures to get you all caught up. I hope that you enjoy seeing my first 6 weeks as much as I have enjoyed living them!

"Uncle Brad & Aunt Candace" came and visited me the day I got home from the hospital.

And then I took a nap on mommy's lap because I was so tired.

I hated my 1st doctors appointment because the Dr. touched me with his cold hands...

But then daddy gave me a kiss and I felt so much better!

On Wednesday July 23rd at 8:54 AM our little sweetheart came into the world. It has been such an incredible experience. Both Mom and Baby are doing well.

Right after Parker was born. Dianne was incredible during the c-section.

For those of you who know Dianne, you know that she rarely goes anywhere without taking her camera. For those of you who know Kiley, you know that he doesn't really like to have his picture taken, unless he is doing something cool (or stupid, it's really a matter of opinion). Well, said camera was out on the fourth of July, and we finally snapped some pictures of Dianne's pregnant belly. Could be anyday now that the baby will be here. Crazy.

I know, I know, 2 days in a row, it's madness! I got an ultrasound today to make sure that Parker was getting as big as he was supposed to. From his neck down he is right on target, but as for his head he is measuring 2 weeks bigger! Our son is going to have a huge head, which we are very proud of. The place I get my ultrasounds done takes those cool 4D pictures, so I thought I would share them with you. He seems to be fond of his umbilical cord and is cuddling with it in these pictures, it kind of looks like a boa constrictor.

So, I started this blog and then realized that I never have any pictures to post, unless you all are interested in seeing the 4 walls of my bedroom, which I spend most of my time in. So I promise that after Parker comes I will be more diligent in posting and there will be so many pictures on here that you will be telling me to take it easy instead of adding more. My friend Lindsay gave me a hard time about not writing and told me to write 6 random things about Kiley and me, so here I go:

#1: I seem to have lost my belly button in the last few weeks
#2: We are huge fans of all flavors of otterpops
#3: Kiley is a fantastic cook, and makes the best Macaroni and Cheese
#4: I still sleep with a stuffed animal, and once caught Kiley snuggled up to it while taking a nap
#5: Kiley is double jointed and can do lots of cool hand tricks that keep people entertained, and he can pick things up with his toes.
#6: Kiley and I spent Christmas of 2006 in Austria and wish we could live there part time

Watch Out Blogging World!

Now that Kiley and I are about to add to our family we figured people would be more interested in us, so here we are entering the blogging community. For those who don't know already we are having a little baby boy, Parker Glen Newbold, at the end of July and are so excited! If anyone has some advice I would love to hear it, because honestly I am FREAKING out! I don't know if I am capable of raising a little human being when I am not really grown up myself yet, ahhhhh!!!
